Event Description:
Join Move United for Warfighters Recreation Day, a fun and inclusive afternoon designed for Veterans with disabilities and their friends and families. Held at the beautiful Black Hills Regional Park, this event brings our community together through sports, recreation, and camaraderie.
Enjoy an adaptive lineup of recreational activities, including cornhole, volleyball and classic yard games. Whether you’re looking to get active, try something new, or simply connect with fellow Veterans, this day is all about play, community, and wellness.
This event is free to attend, and Veterans are encouraged to bring their families. Food, games, and good company will be provided – just bring your energy and team spirit!

Event Accessibility:
Picnic Shelter I is accessible from Parking Lot #8, with paved pathways leading directly to the shelter. The lot is a short distance from the shelter and includes a limited number of designated accessible spaces, along with ample general parking and a convenient drop-off area if needed. Accessible restrooms are located nearby at Shelter J, with additional accessible facilities available throughout the park.
For those exploring further, the Discovery Center offers full wheelchair access, including an accessible deck, seating, restrooms and air conditioning. The park features paved trails that accommodate wheelchairs and mobility devices, though some sections are steep or have natural surfaces. Visitors can also enjoy an adaptive kayak launch on Little Seneca Lake for an extended recreational experience.
