Move United invites eligible Member Organizations in good standing to apply for grants ranging from $5,000 to $10,000 to expand access to trails and other recreational opportunities on public lands for athletes with disabilities across western states.
Grant funding will support programs that help athletes with disabilities access, explore, and enjoy trails and outdoor spaces that may otherwise be difficult to access without adaptive equipment, specialized instruction, or additional program support.
Each funded program must provide a minimum of four days of activity and incorporate adaptive equipment and specialized instruction as needed to create safe, inclusive, and meaningful outdoor recreation experiences.
Eligible activities may include: Hiking, fishing, camping, outdoor rock climbing, cycling, mountain biking, Nordic skiing, snowshoeing and other trail involved pursuits in parks and public lands. Funds may also support trail assessments using HETAP, MUTAP or other emerging measurement technologies.
Eligible Move United Member Organizations must operate programs in one of the following states: Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Texas, Utah, Washington, or Wyoming
