The Move United Member Organization Grant Program is designed to support the programs of Move United’s Member Organization National Network
The grant program is not for individual athletes or organizations who are not Move United Member Organizations
Opportunities for direct athlete support can be found in the Get Involved section of our website
Most funding opportunities offered through the Move United Member Organizations Grant Program typically support one of the following areas:
There are some opportunities that are outside of this that are announced when they become available.
It’s important that you review the PURPOSE & REQUIREMENTS of the grant you are applying for to make sure it fits in with the goals of your programming – i.e. if the funding is for serving low income youth, and you apply for the grant, you will be expected to report on low income youth served. This will be re-emphasized in the grant agreement.
Whatever the funding type, all Move United Member Organization Grants are intended to supplement existing chapter programs, unless otherwise indicated. The award sizes vary, and are typically of a size that partially supports a program or event.
We look for chapters to demonstrate sustainability of a program; as such, we are not necessarily looking to support new programs, unless a need can be demonstrated.
Some funding opportunities require engagement with a corporate partner to achieve mutual goals of the grant – these are outlined in the requirements for each funding announcement, and may require dedicated staff time.
