Inclusive dance is a form of dance that welcomes individuals of all abilities, backgrounds, and experiences to participate in a creative and inclusive environment. It is a movement that aims to break down barriers and promote diversity and inclusion within the dance community. Inclusive dance classes and performances are designed to be accessible to everyone, regardless of physical or cognitive limitations, and provide a safe and supportive space for individuals to express themselves through movement.
Inclusive dance often incorporates a variety of dance styles, including ballet, modern, jazz, hip-hop, and more, and can be adapted to accommodate the needs and abilities of each participant. Inclusive dance classes may include modifications such as the use of adaptive equipment, simplified choreography, or individualized instruction to ensure that everyone can fully participate and enjoy the experience.

World Para Dance Sport ensures that a World Championships are held every two years. The last edition was held in 2023 in Genoa, Italy.
European and Asian Championships are also part of the calendar, as well as other competitions, which ensure regular events are available each year.
The surface of the dance floor must be a minimum of 250 square metres with no side of the floor less than 10m in length, and 350 square meters for Championships.
Participants can compete combi style, dancing with an able-bodied (standing) partner, or duo dance for two wheelchair users together. Group dance involves wheelchair users only or together with able-bodied partners whereas single dance sees a wheelchair user dance alone.
Participants have the option of using electric wheelchairs if they need to.
