Lucas Jundt

"My name is Lucas. I was born with bilateral Fibular Hemimelia. I have no fibula in either leg. I was born in China and adopted in 2011 at age 7. I began doing adaptive sports in 2018. I got my first set of running blades that year and in 2019 I started working with Great Lakes Adaptive Sports Association on their team. I competed in several events in 2019 and enjoyed it. I competed at Great Lakes Games, Dairyland Games, Endeavor Games, Desert Challenge and Junior Nationals. I realized during that season that I may want to go to the Paralympics someday. As I approached 2020 I was very excited about a new competition season but of course that all got changed by CoVid. This year I am very excited to get back into competing and working toward my goals of getting to the Paralympics. This year I am competing in track and field as well as swimming. I play football at my high school in Wisconsin as well as doing swimming and track and field with them.

The reason I compete is to use the gift God gave me and show others who doubt me that I am capable of anything that God puts in front of me and I can everything through Christ who strengthens me."
