Get off the sidelines and get in the game! The USA Wheelchair Football League is hosting tryouts for the 2022 football season. All athletes with qualifying disabilities are encouraged to show up and show off their skills. The USA Wheelchair Football League is made possible in part by an NFL-BWF Salute to Service partnership to provide a ‘Healthy Lifestyles and Creating Community’ grant.
Tryouts will be held on May 7 from 10 AM to 4 PM at the Miller Park and Life Center (6105 E. Sligh Ave., Tampa FL). Lunch will be provided by Friends of the County Parks.
The Hillsborough County Buccaneers Wheelchair Football Team will consist of up to 21 players with physical disabilities. The team will travel with 14 players to the 2022 competitions.
