Early in life, Beth Fox recognized her desire to dedicate herself to the service of others. As a result, she spent over 30 years dedicated to the mission of the National Sports Center for the Disabled (NSCD). She began her career as a Professional Ski Instructor of America (PSIA) adaptive ski instructor and eventually became an adaptive examiner, Beth served for many years as the Operations Director at NSCD before being named the Education and Outreach Director.
In her duties as the Education and Outreach Director, Beth also developed curricula, resources, and training materials for the recreation program staff, volunteers, and interns that supported the adaptive recreation services at NSCD. In addition, she was responsible for developing and implementing safety and risk management materials. She created education and training programs for many ski schools and specialized activities in snow sports and other outdoor recreation activities throughout the world for people with disabilities.
The dedication and commitment displayed by Beth Fox over the years has been instrumental in the ongoing excellence in programming by the National Sports Center for the Disabled.
