Evan Enquist

Evan is the national manager for wheelchair tennis at the USTA. As the former University of Alabama head wheelchair tennis coach, he coached the Tide to 7 consecutive national championship titles and developed ITF ranked athletes with 2 reaching top 200, 2 in the top 100, 3 in the top 50 and 2-time Paralympian (career high #24 in singles and #20 in doubles), Shelby Baron. From 2017-2023, Evan served as a volunteer on the USTA Wheelchair Tennis National Committee as the collegiate and junior pathway subcommittee chairs. For education, he has a masters degree in strength & conditioning, a Ph.D in exercise physiology and is an elite USPTA and TPT certified professional. Evan has 18 years of coaching experience working at the NCAA D1, NCAA D3, wheelchair, high school and local adult and junior play levels. Evan played college tennis for Drake University and continues to hone his skills on the court both standing and in a chair.

The Competition Committee includes a diverse representation of voices from the competition space. The group’s focus is on how Move United can better serve athletes in competition and support event directors currently hosting competition and those interested in hosting competition in the future.
