Unite 2 Fight Paralysis (U2FP) battled race organizers for 4 years to “allow” mobility device users to just “sign” up like anyone else, The Twin Cities 10 mile and Marathon is now open for people using racing wheelchairs, hand cycles AND e-assisted hand-cycles, power wheelchairs and whatever mobility device you prefer to use for your desired experience!!! The race is incredible… rivers, lakes, trees and people lining the streets the entire way cheering! It really is the “most beautiful urban marathon,” as they tout. U2FP is a non-profit that continues to change the spinal cord injury research landscape, like passing statewide bills that fund SCI research— research that has now become human clinical trials. U2FP has charity runner/wheeler spots in the Twin Cities marathon and 10 mile races. Charity team members raise money for U2FP — so we can continue to educate and advocate for functional recovery research (return our bladder function, return our hand grasp!)
