Anne-Marie Spearman

"Sports drives us, resilience defines us, camaraderie unites us." - Army Physician Assistant, Anne-Marie Spearman

Spearman sustained a complex neck fracture while serving in Iraq, requiring spinal stabilization surgery during her recovery.

As an Army Physician Assistant, she was dedicated to serving her fellow soldiers and values the experiences gained throughout her military service. Following her injury, Spearman was introduced to adaptive skiing at Ski Spectacular, an experience that opened her eyes to the incredible possibilities of adaptive sports.

While she doesn't compete, Spearman deeply enjoys the recreation, camaraderie, and sense of freedom that comes with skiing alongside other athletes. When ski season ends, she can often be found on the golf course with fellow PGAHope graduates. Recently, she has expanded her adventures to include bowling and pickleball.

As a Move United Warfighter Ambassador, Spearman is passionate about helping other disabled veterans discover the joy and benefits of adaptive sports.
