"The feeling I experience while training or competing—the sense of freedom, the purpose, and the growing confidence—keeps me coming back to push myself a little further than I thought I could." - Jacie King

King was born with Arthrogryposis Multiplex Congenita, bilateral club feet, and displaced hips. At 12 years old, she discovered para swimming, finding a community of athletes who shared her goals and determination. The sport became a foundation for confidence and self-discovery, shaping her understanding of what she could achieve.

In 2019, King transitioned to paratriathlon and immediately connected with the sport's unique challenges. The three-discipline format pushes her limits across swimming, cycling, and running, requiring her to bring together everything she has learned. She thrives on race day execution and the constant opportunity to gain knowledge through each training session and competition.

King graduated from The University of Arizona in May 2025 with dual degrees in Psychology and Human Development and Family Science. Her athletic journey parallels her academic pursuits, both focused on understanding growth, development, and human potential.

As a Move United member athlete, King embodies the structure and purpose that adaptive sports provide. She approaches each challenge with curiosity, using athletics to discover who she is both within and outside of competition. Her commitment to paratriathlon continues to foster the freedom and confidence that will carry her forward in athletics and life.
