Move United will be hosting the 2027 Move United Education Conference in collaboration with the University of Michigan Adaptive Sports & Fitness team as well as the Ann Arbor Sports Commission.
Our Venues
EdCon27 is proud to be hosted by the University of Michigan & The Ann Arbor Sports Commission and will unfold across two of the university’s most distinctive spaces. The historic Michigan Union has served as the heart of student life for more than a century, its wood-paneled halls and glass-domed courtyard anchoring EdCon27’s general sessions, breakouts, and Exhibitor Hall. See photos below.
Just across campus, the Hadley Family Recreation & Well-Being Center — Michigan’s newest and largest recreational facility, connected to campus by a sky bridge over Washtenaw Avenue — will host the conference’s hands-on sport sessions and active programming. See a video of this incredible facility below.
Attendees will also have access to and range of University of Michigan’s impressive Division I athletic facilities, offering a unique opportunity to experience the campus’s sport and recreation spaces firsthand. Facilities include the Um South Athletic Campus Sports Performance Center, Varsity Track, and Varsity Tennis Center. From competition and training venues to facilities supporting Michigan’s student-athletes, these spaces add another dimension to EdCon27’s hands-on programming and connection to sport at the collegiate level.

This Wheel the World guide covers accessible hotels, museums, parks, restaurants, and transportation options throughout Ann Arbor, with every listing based on physical, hands-on measurements rather than general claims. It’s a useful resource to point attendees to directly, since it covers far more ground — down to door widths and turning space — than Move United would need to maintain in-house.
