Wasatch Adaptive Sports will facilitate the 2025 Adaptive Biking Program for five days a week between May to October at 17 road cycling or 13 mountain biking locations in Northern Utah. To reduce barriers for veterans, adults, and children with disabilities, Was offers a robust scholarship program, a diverse fleet of adaptive bikes that get directly transported to program locations, and a dedicated staff of trained instructors who forefront the dignity, choices, and goals of each participant. The program will feature multiple different experiences for participants to get involved in, including one-on-one lessons, identity-specific and diagnosis-specific group rides, adaptive bike fittings, and adaptive bike rentals. Each of these experiences will address different participant needs. For instance, one-on-one lessons allow for immediate customization and skill building, whereas group rides facilitate belonging among individuals with shared experiences. The equipment rental program promotes independence in participants, who will use an adaptive bike for a weekend trip, competition, or entire season to recreate among friends, family, and neighbors.
