Learn MoreIn the winter 2026-2027, we continue our commitment to address the complex rehabilitation needs of veterans with disabilities by offering our annual – Operation Freedom Outdoors – Serving Disabled Military Heroes. This special weekend provides opportunities to embrace fun and meaningful adaptive sports (skiing and snowboarding) that improve healing, post traumatic growth, functional independence and quality of life for all veterans. On February 6-8, 2027 veterans with disabilities from the surrounding mid-atlantic states will come together at Operation Freedom Outdoors – Adaptive Snow Sports weekend. This is an important weekend of adaptive skiing, fellowship, reunion, and healing. All of our adaptive sports programs serving veterans are provided at No cost to those who participate. Participants of this event receive, lodging, meals, area use passes, snow sports equipment, adaptive equipment, instruction, commemorative awards free of charge. This 2026/27 winter will be our 46th season providing Massanutten Adaptive Snow Sports (skiing and snowboarding adaptive instruction, coaching and guide services for persons of all ages and abilities). From December thru Mid-March we provide quality adaptive skiing and snowboarding seven days a week by appointment.
