Adaptive Sports Association in Durango, Colorado, hosts Learn to Ski Scholarships with the objective of increasing support for first-time skiers and snowboarders. Asa believes this will enhance the lives of an increasing number of people with disabilities by offering a new area of self-fulfillment. Scholarships include 4 days of one-on-one adaptive snowsport instruction, lift tickets, all necessary equipment, 5 nights of lodging, transportation to/from/around Durango, and meals. The Ross and Sue Ehrhardt Scholarship has given over 500 San Diego area residents with various disabilities the ability to experience skiing for the first time. This program is fully funded by the Torrey Pines Kiwanis Foundation. This Scholarship is offered two different weeks: January 4th-9th, 2027 January 11th-16th, 2027 Deadline to Apply is October 15TH, 2026. Note: To qualify for the program you must have a permanent disability and live in San Diego County, CA.
