Forbes Recognizes Move United on its Accessibility 200 List

Forbes has included Move United on its Accessibility 200 List, which highlights and recognizes the biggest innovators and impact-makers in accessibility, in fields such as communication, mobility, education, software, consumer products, robotics, sports and recreation, travel, the workplace, the arts, and more. Companies such as Adobe, AirBnB, Capital One, Google, Microsoft, Nike, NBCUniversal, SalesForce, Spectrum, and others are also part of the list.

Move United, the national leader in community-based sports and recreation for individuals with disabilities, uses the power of sport to push what’s possible for people with disabilities, confronting ignorance, fueling conversation, and inciting action that leads us to a world where everyone’s included.

Through a national network of 253 member organizations across 45 states and the District of Columbia, over 131,000 youth and adults with disabilities each year have the opportunity to live to their fullest potential. In 2025, Move United granted nearly $2.4 million to local adaptive sports organizations that are part of the Move United member network. The nonprofit continues to expand opportunities for athletes with a disability and has a goal of being accessible to 90% of the U.S. population when the Paralympics returns to LA in 2028.

In 2025, 37 Move United sanctioned competitions in 25 states saw 2,378 adaptive athletes compete in several sports, which served as a qualifier for The Hartford Nationals conducted by Move United last summer in Grand Rapids, Michigan, where 423 athletes competed in seven different sports.

Over 1,300 Gatorade Adapted High School Sports Guides were requested in 2026 across 45 states, impacting 22,000 students with disabilities.

In addition, 1,608 veterans and their family members were served as part of the Move United Warfighters program, which provides access to adaptive sports and recreation for free of charge, including through the USA Wheelchair Football League.

“As Move United celebrates 70 years of leadership in the adaptive sport movement, we are honored to be recognized by Forbes for our relevance and impact for the second year in a row. We are equally excited to see that Forbes has doubled the number of entities on this list, demonstrating the amazing work that companies and organizations are doing to make the world more accessible to everyone,” Move United CEO Glenn Merry said.

In addition, three Move United member organizations is among the list of honorees, including Ability 360, Angel City Sports, and Shirley Ryan AbilityLab.

According to Forbes, the Accessibility 200 list was determined based on more than 700 interviews and input from an expert advisory board across all sectors of business and society. For the purposes of this list, “Accessibility” is defined as products, software and services that allow people with disabilities to have equitable access to information, content, public spaces, employment and life experiences. For more information about Move United, visit moveunitedsport.org.
