Job Title: Donor & Events Manager (Part-Time)
Reports To: Managing Director of Advancement
Location: Newry, ME (Hybrid options available)
Hours: Part-time, year-round up to 32 hours/week
Compensation: $24-28/hr, DOE

Founded in 1982, Maine Adaptive Sports & Recreation provides year-round adaptive sports and
outdoor recreation opportunities to children, adults, and veterans with disabilities. We are
passionate about inclusion, access, and community, and we believe that recreation should be
for everyone.

Position Overview:
The Donor & Events Manager plays a key role in advancing Maine Adaptive’s mission through
donor engagement, stewardship, and event coordination. This position supports individual
giving, helps manage donor communications and databases, and takes the lead on logistics and
coordination for Maine Adaptive’s signature peer-to-peer fundraising events, including the March
Ski-A-Thon and Beach to Beacon Charity Team.

Key Responsibilities:
Donor Relations & Development Support
● Coordinate donor acknowledgment and stewardship efforts, including thank-you letters,
impact updates, and milestone touches
● Assist in implementing annual fundraising campaigns and appeals
● Support major donor cultivation and moves management strategy
● Maintain accurate donor records in the CRM (Neon)
● Work with the Advancement team to research and track donor prospects

Event Management:
● Plan, coordinate, and execute key fundraising events and donor gatherings with target
fundraising goals
● Support event committees, volunteers, and sponsors with logistics and communication
● Support Ski-A-Thon sponsor outreach and solicitation plans
● Manage event registration systems, timelines, and vendor relationships
● Collaborate with Communications staff to promote events and campaigns
● Evaluate event outcomes and support post-event follow-up with donors and partners

General Advancement Support
● Collaborate with the Communications Coordinator to tell compelling stories of participant
impact
● Track and report on fundraising metrics and donor engagement
●Represent Maine Adaptive at community events and outreach opportunities as needed

Qualifications:
●2+ years of experience in nonprofit development, donor relations, or event planning
●Excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills
●Comfort working with donor databases/CRMs and digital tools
●Proficient in Google Suite, Slack, and Canva
●Warm, professional presence and a collaborative spirit
●Passion for Maine Adaptive’s mission and commitment to inclusive recreation. Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends for key events
Preferred but not required:
●Experience with corporate sponsorship or peer-to-peer fundraising platforms
●Graphic design or content creation skills for event promotion
