Program Supervisor – Winter Seasonal

About us:
The Bart Adaptive Sports Center, based in Manchester, Vermont, is dedicated to providing sports lessons for
individuals of all ages with cognitive and/or physical disabilities. Our winter programming includes skiing and
snowboarding, facilitated by a committed team of over 110 highly trained volunteers, many of whom hold PSIA
Certification. We employ the latest adaptive techniques and state-of-the-art equipment to ensure a high-quality
learning experience. In addition to our winter sports, we have an extensive summer program that features cycling,
swimming, hiking, tennis, and more. Winter lessons are conducted at both Bromley and Stratton Mountains, while
summer activities take place in and around Manchester and the surrounding areas.

 

Position Requirements:

  • Energetic, motivated, and engaging personality with a passion for helping others.
  • Experience teaching or working with individuals with disabilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Comfortable working in both an office and mountain environment.
  • Previous administrative and/or management experience; proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Little Green Light (or
    comparable CRM such as Salesforce), and social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn).
  • Experience in non-profit organizations is preferred.
  • Experience with marketing and social media is preferred.
  • PSIA Level 1 Alpine or Adaptive Certification is preferred.

 

Hours:

  • Average 40 hours per week; winter schedule is Tuesday-Sunday. Some flexibility may be required to meet
    organizational needs.

Compensation:

  • Hourly rate based on qualifications and experience. $18-$22/hr

 

Responsibilities:

  • Teach lessons at Stratton on a weekly basis and, on occasion, at Bromley.
  • Oversee the Center’s operations at Stratton Mountain, including:
    • Facilitating volunteer training at Stratton.
    • Managing incoming lesson requests and onboarding new students.
    • Coordinating student check-in, equipment needs, instructor introductions, and lesson payments.
    • Maintaining files, tracking attendance, and completing evaluations.
  • Provide administrative support for Bart Adaptive, including database management.
  • Assist in fundraising events, student outreach, and volunteer recruitment.

While this is primarily a seasonal position, we are open to discussing the possibility of converting it into a year-round
salaried role for the right candidate. We value dedication and talent and are eager to find someone who can
