Full-time, Year-Round, Program Coordinator

The Telluride Adaptive Sports Program (TASP) is actively hiring a Program Coordinator within an existing richly talented and seasoned team. This mid-level leadership position requires unyielding positive energy, commitment to Mission driven work and supporting the achievements of our staff, volunteers and athletes alike. This position facilitates industry leading adaptive recreation experiences, continually drives forward TASP’s unique educational offerings within our resort community as well as engaging our greater region in topics of accessibility and inclusion. Throughout each season, this position assists in the daily Operational needs of running a world class adaptive recreation program that focuses on people first while fostering community within.

Highlighted Job Responsibilities/Requirements:

Teach adaptive sports in the field 2-3 days per week as assigned and schedule allows. (Adaptive ski/ride lessons in winter. Cycling, climbing, hiking, paddlesports etc in Summer)
Required 2-3 days working in the office.
Lead TASP’s Enabling All disability awareness programs for regional youth.
Lead Adaptive Awareness Training to specific departments at the Resort (lift operations example) and Town of Mountain Village (gondola operators example).
Lead TASP’s Special Olympics program, Team San Juan, ski/snowboard in the winter and ball sports in the summer.
Provide leadership and facilitation in a thriving Summer Regional Adventure Days (RAD) Friday program.
Assist in TASP’s training systems where personal skills apply.
Help to identify areas of expanded training for seasonal staff and volunteers.
Daily operational duties year-round to include but not limited to opening and or closing the office, answering phones, assisting ‘walk in’ visitors, attending staff meetings,  and ‘other’ operational needs as assigned and available.
Assist in maintaining an active social media presence for TASP for direct marketing of upcoming events and celebrating the successes of our unique programs and athletes.

Preferred Qualifications Include:

Exemplary customer service skills in answering phones, replying to emails and professional presentation during in-person interactions.
Easily and naturally show care for fellow staff in an active, supportive work environment where all are working towards a collective goal of shared success and accomplishment.
Polished public presentation skills that encourage participation in a safe space.
Detail oriented, accountable, motivated and organized are required skills for success.
Able to multitask and work efficiently in a diverse work environment.
Self-starter and can excel at being given a simple vision to run with.
Open communicator that can give and take constructive feedback in a timely manner.
Commitment to personal education and professional development pertaining directly to success in this role as well as adaptive sports TASP facilitates.
Must pass a Background Check.
Must complete and maintain Mandatory Reporter Training annually.
At least one weekend day per week may be required of this position year-round.
Working some holidays and some evenings should be anticipated of this position.
A few multi-day overnight and single overnight programs are required. (Summer)
Proficiency typing in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Drive, etc…
Minimum Basic First Aid/CPR Certification required
Commitment to obtaining a level 1 ski or snowboard certification through PSIA/AASI.
