Title: Summer Program Director

Reports to: Executive Director

Job Status: Full‐time; Seasonal; Hourly, Non-Exempt

Salary: $30-$35 an hour, based on experience

Position Overview

TASP is seeking a Summer Program Director to lead the day-to-day operations of our summer
programming. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in an outdoor environment, enjoys
leading teams, and can manage logistics while delivering meaningful participant experiences.
You’ll oversee instructors and volunteers, coordinate daily programs and multi-day trips, and
ensure all activities are safe, organized, and impactful.

What We’re Looking For

Required

  • Experience in outdoor recreation, adaptive sports, or related field
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage dynamic, fast-paced environments
  • CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain)
  • Valid driver’s license

Preferred

  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities
  • Wilderness First Responder (WFR) or higher certification
  • Experience leading multi-day trips
  • Familiarity with adaptive equipment

 

Schedule & Work Environment

  • Seasonal role (May–October)
  • Full-time, including weekends and some evenings
  • Mix of field-based work and administrative computer work
  • Multi-day trips with overnight supervision required
