Julia Ray has served as Programs Director at Move United since 2003, bringing more than two decades of experience dedicated to advancing inclusion through adaptive sports. In her role, she oversees Move United’s programs department, managing a portfolio that includes strategic partnerships, federal and private grants, research initiatives, education, and signature events.
In addition to her leadership at Move United, Julia serves on the Paralympic Advisory Committee for the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Committee, representing the Affiliate Organization Council. Her career began in the United Kingdom, where she gained international experience in adaptive sports programming, exercise testing, and international doping control. Julia holds a Bachelor of Science with Honors in Sports Administration and Management. An athlete and advocate at heart, she is a certified gymnastics coach and SCUBA diver.
Julia lives in Washington, D.C., with her husband and two daughters and enjoys volunteering in her community, including serving on the board of her daughters’ rowing team.
