Nina joined the Move United Competitions team in 2023 as a Competition Manager. Nina directly supports all Move United competitions initiatives including sanctioned competitions, Nationals and international events.
Nina holds an MBA specializing in Project Management from Keller Graduate School of Management and an MA in Teaching specialized in Teaching English as a Second Language. She has extensive experience in coaching and managing grappling programs for a very diverse population of individuals.
As a 2021 U.S. Judo Olympian, as well as 2022 Deaflympic Judo Champion, Nina is passionate about sharing the excitement of grappling sports with everyone. As a hard of hearing individual, Nina is involved in coaching Deaflympic teams in both Judo & Wrestling. Additionally, Nina frequently gives seminars in Judo, Sambo (Russian Combat Wrestling,) and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu to grapplers of all backgrounds.
Nina lives in San Antonio, TX with her service dog Indy, puppy Buddy-Jack, and 18 year old red ear slider turtle, JT. In her free time she enjoys cooking, running, training Brazilian jiu-jitsu, and working on her Paralegal Certification.
