Shuan Butcher

“Although my official title is Communications Manager, I often say my role is really that of a chief storyteller. I’m honored to help tell the stories of the athletes in our movement and the impact sport and recreation have across our country.”
– Shuan Butcher, Move United Communications Manager

Shuan Butcher joined Move United in 2017 and serves as Communications Manager, where he highlights the power of sport and recreation through storytelling and media. His work spans Move United magazine, traditional media, podcasts, and other communication platforms that showcase how sport enriches lives and strengthens communities.

He has a lifelong connection to sport and recreation, with experience as a Water Safety Instructor, lifeguard, swim instructor, and secondary school volleyball official. An Army veteran, Shuan has coordinated the annual Brunswick Veterans Day event for more than a decade and remains actively involved in community organizations.
