MTR also offers additional specialty services designed to meet unique participant needs and expand access to equine-assisted care across diverse populations. Each service is individualized to meet participant goals in a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment.
Equine Services for Heroes
MTR’s Equine Services for Heroes program serves veterans, active-duty military, first responders, and their families at no charge. Through adaptive riding and horsemanship, and Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy services, participants address both visible and invisible injuries, including physical disabilities and trauma-related challenges, while building resilience, trust, and renewed purpose.
At the heart of Mtr’s equine-assisted services is the healing power of the human–horse connection. Horses respond authentically and without judgment, creating space for growth, confidence, and meaningful transformation.
