Reno “Tony” Levis

Reno Levis, better known as Tony on the sports scene, was the USA’s top field events athlete and competitive archer in the 1960s and 1970s. His record-setting performances in regional, national, and international competition in the Class II (NWAA’s original classification system) category guaranteed his selection to the USA Wheelchair Teams for four Paralympic Games, four Pan American Games, and four Stoke Mandeville International competitions.

Levis was a star individual athlete and also a proven team player who was selected to numerous U.S. Wheelchair Basketball Teams in world competition, including the Paralympic Games and the Pan American Games.

Tony consistently led his Bordentown Elks Wheelchair Basketball Team to conference championships and into the National Wheelchair Basketball Association playoff tournaments. He was selected to the All-Tournament Teams every year the Elks participated in postseason competition.
