The Miracle League of Michigan founded by Steve Peck in 2004, is a place where coaches and players say miracles happen.

On its baseball field, kids of ranging abilities are given the chance to play a sport many have been told they never could.

Competition

Competitive adaptive baseball programs include:

 

Little League Challenger – An adaptive baseball program for people with physical or intellectual challenges:

 

  • Players ages 4–18 can participate, or up to age 22 if still enrolled in school

 

  • Players ages 15 and up can participate in the Senior League Challenger Division

 

Miracle League – An adaptive baseball league that modifies games to meet the needs of each child:

 

  • Players should be able to bat and play in the field without a 1-to-1 buddy

 

  • Games are played at the Miracle Field at Chesterfield Valley Athletic Complex

 

Other adaptive sports programs include:

 

  • Camp WeCanDu: A week-long summer camp for local youth with physical disabilities

 

  • Mike Bush Fantasy Baseball Camp: A week-long baseball camp for children ages 7–14 who are deaf or hard of hearing

 

  • Challenged Athletes Foundation: Promotes opportunities for individuals with physical disabilities to play sports at the collegiate level
