Move United Warfighters Ambassadors are critical to letting Veterans with disabilities know how and where to access adaptive sports.

As an Ambassador in the Move United Warfighters program, you will represent the organization with a commitment to service and a unique ability to advocate for people with disabilities. Your role is vital in advancing the mission and vision of Move United: to expand access to adaptive sports and ensure that more people with disabilities can experience their transformative benefits.
– Be a qualified participant of Move United Warfighters
– Must have participated in the Move United Warfighters program for at least 1 year
– Be willing to be a representative of Move United at events as requested/available
– Be an active member of your community
– Commit to actively engaging in the training provided to you by Move United
– Adhere to the Move United Warfighters Ambassador guidelines and code of conduct
Ambassadorial duties primarily focus on reaching and engaging Veterans in adaptive sports.
Additional responsibilities may include one or more of the following:
– Recruitment/Mentorship of new Move United members
– Speaking Opportunities
– Educating others around the benefits of an active lifestyle
– Disability awareness and inclusion advocacy
– Community Events
– Small Group Partner Meetings
– Special Stakeholder Opportunities
– Media appearances
– Participation in events
– Move United Warfighters branded apparel to identify you at events
– Key talking points
– Materials and resources to distribute
– Access to Move United Warfighters Grant Program to support your own adaptive sports goals
– Recognition in Move United Magazine
– Ambassador profile at moveunitedsport.org
– Special invitations to key events
– Priority consideration for additional event or grant opportunities
