Frequently Asked Questions
Who can participate?
Any athlete 18+ by August 1 with a permanent physical disability can participate. Even if you don’t plan to play in the USA Wheelchair Football League this fall, we encourage you to show off your skills in the combine.
Who can win?
A winner will be chosen for each event as well as an overall winner in the following categories. Winners must be 18+ by August 1.
Individual Event Categories:
Seated (Male/Female)
Standing (Male/Female)
Overall Categories:
Seated (Male/Female)
Standing (Male/Female)
Military/Veteran
The fastest athlete in each category is the winner. Times for each event will be added together to determine the fastest overall winner. Winners will receive a Move United/USA Wheelchair Football League prize package that includes a football, jersey, water bottle, and more.
Can we participate as a team?
Absolutely! While we won’t be giving away a team prize, you can play for bragging rights. Include your team affiliation in your entry. The Leader Board, which will be updated every Friday in August, will list team affiliations, so you can track which team is taking the top spots in every event.
Do I have to enter every event?
Not unless you’re trying to be an overall winner. Just want to show off your 40-yard dash skills? You have the option of just entering 1 event (or 2 or 3). You can choose to enter in whatever event(s) you feel most confident in. To qualify for the Overall prize, you must enter every event.
Can I submit multiple entries?
No. Only one entry per athlete per event will be counted. If you originally submit an entry for a single event, you can decide later to submit an entry for other events, but you cannot update your entry for the original event you submitted.
Is there a benefit to being the first to enter?
No. The fastest athlete in every event will be the winner, whether they send in their participation on August 1 or August 31.
How do I upload my entry?
First, review all of the rules for each event and make sure you’re staying within the guidelines. Second, get a friend or family member to both time you, and take a video of your participation. Third, upload your video and final time into the form on this page. Note: Videos do not need to be high quality, they will only be used to confirm the results entered in the form if you’re a winner.
How precisely should times be recorded?
Because many times may be very close, times should be recorded to the 100th of a second (two decimal places). Example: 40 yard dash should be 10.74 seconds, NOT 10.7 seconds.
How can I track how I’m doing?
Starting August 7, a Leader Board will be visible on this page. The Leader Board will be updated every Friday in August with that week’s entries for you to view how your combine results stacked up against the rest of the athletes who participated.
