USA Wheelchair Football League Hosts Arizona Tournament September 11-13

The USA Wheelchair Football League (USAWFL), a program of Move United, will host six teams from across the country in a competitive tournament as the second national tournament in the 2026 wheelchair football season.

Game play will take place September 11-13 at the Westworld of Scottsdale in conjunction with the Abilities Expo, a multi-day event aimed at sharing resources for participants with disabilities. Competing teams include the home team Arizona Cardinals wheelchair football team as well as Los Angeles Rams, Las Vegas Raiders, Buffalo Bills, Cleveland Browns, and Carolina Wheelchair Football Team.

The tournament is open to the public and free to attend. Individuals interested in volunteering can sign up at moveunitedsport.org/usawfl-tournaments. Prior to the tournament getting under way, a Learn to Play Clinic will take place on Friday, September 11 from 11:00-12:30 pm for anyone who wants to come out and give the sport a try.

Competition will kick off on Friday, September 11, at 2:00 pm. and will run until Sunday, September 13 with the tournament’s championship game kicking off at 12:00 pm that day. The energy, skill, and intensity these players bring to the field is incredible, and we can’t wait to see them showcase their talents once again.”

Attendees for the tournament will gain access to the Abilities Expo, a multi-day event aimed at people with disabilities, allowing access to game-changing products, services and resources, free workshops and fun, adaptive events and activities. Support for the tournament is provided by Ability 360, a member organization of Move United that offers and promotes programs designed to empower people with disabilities to take personal responsibility so that they may achieve or continue independent lifestyles within the community.
