Over the past year member organizations have developed and implemented their Sport Protection policies in efforts to create a sport and recreation environment free from abuse and misconduct.
Move United strives to safeguard our sport environments from misconduct, including athlete physical and sexual abuse. This policy is specific to events, programs and services provided directly through Move United.
Moved United Members must have a Sport Protection policy in place to maintain membership. Move United is prepared to assist member organizations in creating policies and reviewing existing member policies that meet minimum standards found here.
A complete policy template for chapters is available, along with additional common policy templates.
Information on how to access discounted training and background checks through the Move United membership.
Cases involving sexual abuse and molestation must be reported to law enforcement authorities- this form does not replace or meet that obligation. It is to report misconduct to Move United for Move United action.
Move United may take action on reports brought from within our chapter network. Here is a list of individuals banned by Move United from participating in ANY Move United or chapter activities, and a link to the SafeSport disciplinary database.
