Shuan Butcher
Shuan joined the Move United team in 2017. He has spent over 25 years in the nonprofit sector in various capacities and leadership positions. Previously, Shuan has been a Water Safety Instructor, lifeguard, and swim instructor. He also has served as a volleyball official. Shuan received his undergraduate degree from West Virginia University and a Master of Science in Strategic Leadership from Mountain State University. An Army Veteran, he has coordinated the annual Brunswick Veterans Day for the past ten years and is involved in other community organizations and efforts. Shuan has written for various publications, including the Frederick News Post, Eastern Home & Travel, and others. He is also a member of the National Press Club. He lives in Frederick (MD) with his wife Cindy. They enjoy a number of outdoor activities, live music, and traveling.
