VA Scholarship Opportunity – 2025 Learn to Ski & Snowboard Program
With support from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Move United is pleased to announce a scholarship opportunity for The Hartford Ski Spectacular Learn to Ski & Snowboard program, December 7-13, 2025 in Breckenridge, CO. This scholarship intends to introduce winter sports to veterans with a physical disability.
Scholarship recipients will receive the following:
- Event registration, opening & closing banquet tickets, goody bag, & Epic Pass
- 1 half-day lesson a day in the Learn to Ski & Snowboard program, Monday through Friday
- Lodging from 12/07/25 to 12/13/25. You will be assigned a roommate at the discretion of Move United.
- Ground transportation to and from Denver International Airport (must arrive/depart between the specified times listed below to receive transportation)
- Sunday, 12/07/25 (flights arriving between 11:00am-2:00pm MST)
- Saturday, 12/13/25 (flights departing after 11:00am MST)
*Scholarship does NOT include flight or mileage reimbursements.
Who Can Apply:
VA partners are responsible for identifying veterans with a physical disability who would benefit from experiencing The Hartford Ski Spectacular; applications are to be submitted by the individual applying for the scholarship.
Scholarship awards will be allocated based on the following priorities:
- Priority consideration given to veterans who have not participated in winter sports, or attended The Hartford Ski Spectacular previously
- Priority consideration given to veterans who have limited access to snow sport opportunities within a close proximity
- By invitation from VA staff or Move United Staff
