“Adaptive sports help me build confidence and break through mental and physical barriers.” – James Bedingfield, Colonel, US Army (Ret.)
In 1994, Bedingfield deployed to Guantanamo Bay, Cuba for humanitarian assistance to support 10,000 Haitian and 20,000 Cuban boaters and rafters rescued at sea. He sustained temporary paralysis from a spinal cord injury in October that year.
His future goals are to gain additional neurological and muscular function thru adaptive sports and physical therapy/training.
