This unique summer camp is an opportunity for kids ages 4-18 with physical impairments such as spina bifida, cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy, and spinal cord injuries as well as blind or visually impaired to participate in approximately 15 different sport rotations over 5 days. Volunteers and counselors who share a passion for adaptive sports help athletes learn the fundamentals of various games and activities. Athletes are grouped by age and ability and develop important skills to help them stay active and healthy. Camp promotes positive self-esteem, leadership skills, independence and most importantly, opens campers up to a whole new world of possibilities! This life-changing experience for kids and their families takes place in a positive, loving and fun atmosphere. Monday and Tuesday take place at Crown Point Park (Mission Bay) and Wednesday through Friday at Miramar College in San Diego.
