Higher Ground provides programming for participants with cognitive, developmental and/or physical disabilities. Summer activities include cycling, hiking, camping, golf, bocce ball, fitness, social activities and more. This position provides opportunities for individuals interested in Outdoor/Experiential Education, Therapeutic Recreation, and Recreation Management.

The mission of Higher Ground USA (HG) is to enhance quality of life through inclusive therapeutic recreation and education for people of all abilities. The Summer Adaptive Sports Instructor is responsible for the program support for all adaptive summer programming.  The Summer Adaptive Sports Instructor position is designed to provide opportunities for individuals interested in Outdoor/Experiential Education, Therapeutic Recreation, and Recreation Management to gain professional experience and knowledge in this growing field.

Eligibility and Requirements: Instructors must be at least 18 years of age, preferred First Aid and CPR certifications, experience working with children, and be able to commit to an entire season. Above all, Higher Ground is looking for instructors who are self-motivated, take initiative, and have a desire to work with people with disabilities. Summer activities include; various types of adaptive cycling, hiking, golf, bocce ball, social activities, fitness/healthy lifestyles, water sports and more.
