Spaulding Adaptive Sports Centers (SASC) is looking for a Recreation Therapist or Adaptive Sport professional to join our team in Charlestown at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital.
Spaulding Adaptive Sports Centers (SASC) provides children and adults of all levels of ability the opportunity to live active, healthy lives through participation in adaptive sports and recreational activities. Spaulding Clinicians and Adaptive Sports professionals choose activities and make adaptations to meet the capabilities and goals of each individual. SASC programs include Cape Cod, Boston and North Shore regions.
Key Responsibilities • Assist operationally and programmatically with regional adaptive sports programs (cycling, tennis, pickleball, kayaking, golf, outrigger canoeing and winter sport) under the direction of the SASC Boston Coordinator. • Review participant intakes to determine program/participant equipment needs for each session and provide initial fittings. • Assure equipment is in working condition, set up prior to each session, and then break down and pack post session. • Load and drive Spaulding vehicles and trailers to various locations • PCC Organizational Values of Innovation, Collaboration, Accountability, Respect, and Excellence are upheld.
Spaulding Adaptive Sports Centers is a part of the Spaulding Rehabilitation Network and MA General Brigham, which provides comprehensive benefits in a teaching hospital setting; we provide adaptive sport and recreation to a large variety of individuals living with disability throughout their journey from inpatient to community.
We plan to fill this position before May in order to prepare for our busy outdoor summer!
