You have been selected to participate in Links to Freedom’s Golf Clinic Series in Fort Belvoir. We are excited you are able to join Links to Freedom and Move United for the golf clinics and are looking forward to a safe and healthy series. Please note the following:

  • All attendees who register and reserve a spot must be able to attend all sessions
  • Attendees must abide by the Golf Clinic Series Rules & Safety Precautions
  • Please review the information listed below on program eligibility through Move United and SMGA, and the Club Donation Program

 

REGISTRATION STEPS

  1. Complete the Registration through Links to Freedom
  2. Sign the Move United Liability Waiver and Media Release, link provided by Links to Freedom
  3. Attend the golf clinics!

You will need to sign waivers for Move United. All waivers can be completed online.

Program Eligibility

Links to Freedom (L2F)

Links to Freedom provides wounded, ill, and injured service members and their families, surviving spouses and their children the opportunity to rehabilitate and restore emotional, physical and social well-being through the game of golf.

For L2F eligibility consideration, Active Duty Service Members assigned to a Soldier Readiness Unit (SRU) for the purposes of transition has overall #1 priority to register.  Medal of Honor, Purple Heart recipient, and other highly distinguished military award recipients are also Priority #1.  100% Disabled Veterans have the next priority to register.  All other disabled veterans; service personnel wounded, injured or taken ill while on active duty with any of the armed forces of the United States, their immediate family members (spouse, children, siblings and parents) or caregivers; surviving spouses and their children, including but not limited to Gold Star spouses would receive next priority.  Finally, additional eligible guests (paying $40) would be registered on a space-available basis.

Move United

Move United’s mission is to provide national leadership and opportunities for individuals with disabilities to develop independence, confidence, and fitness through participation in community sports, recreation and educational programs.

To qualify for Move United Warfighters you must be a military member (pre and post 9/11) who has sustained a permanent physical disability (combat or non-combat injured) and need adaptive instruction or equipment. Disabilities served include (but are not limited to) amputation, TBI, visual impairments, burn damage, severe muscle and nerve damage and spinal cord injury.

Club Donation Program

Eligible wounded veterans and service members who attend a minimum of six clinics in a single series may qualify for a custom fitted set of PING clubs. It is the service member’s responsibility to sign in each week to have attendance counted towards clubs.

L2F Eligibility:
  • View L2F Attendance & Participation Policies
  • See above description under Program Eligibility
  • L2F will ask for applicable documentation to verify participants’ service and nature of wounds/injuries
Move United Eligibility:
  • Must have a permanent physical disability and need adaptive instruction or equipment
  • Please refer to the list of qualifying disabilities above under Program Eligibility
  • Acceptance of a set of PING clubs indicates that you plan to keep them for your personal use
  • Clubs will be engraved with your name and cannot be sold, exchanged or transferred to another individual

Club distribution is at the sole discretion of L2F and Move United based on program qualifications and club availability.
