Micaela Venus
Micaela Venus joined Move United in 2021 as Events Manager, where she oversees the planning and execution of signature events and programs across the organization. Her work includes leading The Hartford Ski Spectacular, Honoring America’s Wounded Warfighter Gala, the Congressional Charity Golf Classic, and other sponsor-related events. She also serves as the primary liaison with The Hartford, managing Member Organization grants and activations, and supporting The Hartford Competitions Series and other special initiatives.
Prior to joining Move United, Micaela spent more than six years with the Great Lakes Adaptive Sports Association (GLASA), a Move United Member Organization, where she served as Program Director and Volunteer Coordinator. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Recreation Therapy from the University of Wisconsin–La Crosse and a master’s degree in Sport Management with a specialization in Athlete Development from the University of Florida. Micaela lives in the Chicago suburbs with her husband, daughter, son, and a house full of black-and-white pets. Outside of work, she enjoys Pilates, hiking, snowboarding, home improvement projects, and trying to convince her husband to adopt more pets.
