Nicole Roundy

Nicole Roundy is a Paralympic national champion who was diagnosed with Osteogenic Sarcoma, a form of bone cancer at age 8, causing the loss of her right leg above the knee.

In 2002, she was introduced to adaptive snow sports. In 2006, she became the first above-knee amputee to ever compete in adaptive snowboarding; taking home a silver medal at the United States National Championships.

She represented the United States in the 2014 Paralympic Winter Games in Sochi and has won more than 20 World Cup medals.

She is a motivational speaker and encourages youth and adults to live an active, healthy lifestyle. She also enjoys CrossFit, yoga, hiking, wakeboarding, and paddle boarding. Nicole was honored by the Utah Governor's State of Sport Awards as female adaptive athlete of the year.
