Pam Carey is a retired educator from Louisiana having taught physical education and adapted physical education and has been an itinerant university professor for 10 years, teaching adapted physical education certification classes. She has been the coordinator for the Louisiana GUMBO program for 25 years. Pam serves as a national track and field technical classifier, a boccia national classifier, and a table tennis national classifier. She has worked within the adaptive sports arena for over 30 years as a coach, official, event director, and coordinator. Pam is one of the Para Powerlifting representatives on the Competition Committee.
The Competition Committee includes a diverse representation of voices from the competition space. The group’s focus is on how Move United can better serve athletes in competition and support event directors currently hosting competition and those interested in hosting competition in the future.
