Move United invites Member Organizations to apply for grants for low income youth and young adult programs.
GRANT DETAILS & CRITERIA
- Direct program expenses for low income* youth and young adults with disabilities, ages 16-29. Programming should be toward a project that would otherwise (without these grant funds) not be possible.
- Individuals should be engaged as an ongoing member in your programs (i.e. served over multiple program sessions – not for one off interactions).
- Eligible states: Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Texas, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming
- Awarded $3,000-$10,000 (depends on number of youth served and scope/type of programming)
- Summer & Winter sports programs: May 15, 2025 – February 15, 2026
- Grant recipients will need to require participants complete a brief Move United survey on impact of sports participation – available in English & Spanish and electronically or print to measure if:
- Participants will continue to engage in sporting activities through local community based
- Participants increased confidence and sense of independence, improved social skills, and more success at school or work adaptive sports programs
- This grant is open to both new and returning Low Income Youth grant recipients. If your organization received a grant in this prior year please indicate how a renewal grant for the program will help build capacity or additional opportunities. Please reference back to your grant report
- Program report must be submitted 14 days post program end date and no later than February 28, 2026
