Scholarship Opportunity – 2023 Ski Spectacular Instructor Academy
With support from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Move United Education is pleased to announce scholarships for the Ski Spectacular Instructor Academy (formerly PSIA-AASI National Adaptive Academy) December 4-7, 2023. The Ski Spectacular Instructor Academy is endorsed by PSIA-AASI and is held in conjunction with The Hartford Ski Spectacular in Breckenridge, CO.
Scholarship recipients will receive the following (valued at $768):
- Event registration, opening & closing banquet tickets, goody bag, & lift tickets
- 20 hours of training on-snow & in the classroom by leading industry experts
- Earn PSIA-AASI, NCTRC, & CARSS CEUs at no cost
Move United member organizations are invited to apply for scholarships to support the training of their adaptive snowsports instructors who teach disabled veterans.
Member organizations are responsible for nominating individual(s); personal scholarship applications submitted by instructors will not be accepted
Scholarship awards will be allocated with the following priorities in consideration:
- Nominee(s) must meet pre-requisites listed in application. Nominee(s) must currently teach disabled Veterans
- Priority consideration is given for individuals with disabilities, veterans, and individuals of diverse races, ethnicities, and genders.
- Priority consideration is given for organizations who’s annual operating budget is under $500,000 (will receive preference)
- Priority consideration is given for organizations that have a clearly identified need for training
