Move United will develop, maintain, and manage a roster of USAWFL-approved classifiers. Teams are not required to have a league classifier on staff but they may if they choose.
Who Qualifies?:
The minimum requirements to be a USAWFL-Medical/Technical Classifier
- Medical Background or Sport Background that allows the classifier to complete the panel testing at a knowledgeable level
- USAWFL Medical/Technical Classifier Online Class Completion
- Safe Sport Certification
What does a Medical/Technical Classifier Do?:
The USAWFL-approved classifier shall be responsible for
- Knowing the different classifications and how they relate to playing wheelchair football;
- Being a member of a classification panel and completing all responsibilities as a classification panel member and
- Maintaining a current USAWFL-approved classifier status by completing the online class every two years.
What do Medical/Technical Classifiers Receive?:
Medical/Technical Classifiers will be supported by Move United in the following ways:
- Travel and Lodging for all out of town appointments (following Move United’s travel policies)
- Stipend for meals and time on-site
- Administrative Support including screening all applicants, scheduling of appointments and managing schedule on site.
