The Move United Education Conference invites sport professionals, sport providers and athletes to come together for informative education & awareness sessions and hands-on skills-based learning workshops. The 2023 Move United Education Conference provides the tools, training, and conversations to make disability inclusion in sport a reality. This conference will incite action and challenge attendees to make an impact around inclusion, access & belonging.
Join your fellow professionals and emerging leaders in the in the sport and recreation industry who are currently creating or are looking to create opportunities for athletes with disabilities. Historically, attendees have represented a variety of affiliations including Move United member organizations, general sport organizations, city parks & recreation departments, National Governing Bodies, universities, schools, VA hospital staff, general hospital therapists, disability resource groups, and more.
This year’s theme, “Disability Inclusion in Sport: Transforming Intent to Action” invites sport providers, sport professionals, and athletes to come together over a mutual interest in elevating sport opportunities for athletes with disabilities. Discussion will center around affecting measurable change and creating longstanding impact in adaptive sports.

This event is appropriate individuals of all experience levels working with individuals with disabilities in the sport space. Anyone wishing to acquire new skills, refresh their skills or investigate new topics and conversations are encouraged to attend. Additionally, students and others wishing to explore the field and network are welcome.

Absolutely! While there are a few familiar faces among our team of presenters, all of the presentations and workshops will be new for the 2023 conference. Attending the conference each year will help you make progress on your professional development goals and expand your network.
Yes! Sessions pre-approved for NCTRC as well as BlazeSports CARSS continuing education credits will be noted in the Event App (“Move United Events”).
While the tracks exist to guide attendees, attendees are able to attend any sessions they would like. Attendees absolutely may attend sessions throught the day(s) that are on varying tracks.

For a second year in a row, Move United Education delivered its annual conference virtually. Reaching over 900+ professionals from over 500+ organizations, Move United expanded its conference in terms of scope and topics, organization resources and digital resources for attendees. Together, we covered pivotal conversations around equity and inclusion in the adaptive sport community.
Move United’s Annual Leadership Conference was originally slated to be hosted with the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Committee in Colorado Springs, CO, However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the decision has been made to move the event online in order to provide constituents an opportunity to partake in some of the training opportunities available. The conference will be comprised of 24 sessions delivered online the week of May 11-15, 2020.
Move United’s Annual Leadership Conference was originally slated to be an in-person event in Colorado Springs, CO in partnership with the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Committee (USOPC). However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the organization adapted to the new environment, moving the event online. A first for the organization, the online platform provides constituents new accessibility to training and education opportunities. The conference delivers more than 25 sessions over five days, May 11-15, 2020.
